I have already hear about MegaVideo's creator's fate on TV, and I firmly believe that this case is outrageous... The actual question should be "Where is the Internet going?, "Is there any owner(s) of the Internet?", "Are we in 1984?" (This one may be too scandalous in this case...).
The Internet should (and must) be free, without proprietors, can you imagine that you were talking with someone on the streets and you were heard at all times?. We are told that "piracy" do arts in, if we don't consume art, artists don't live, that's entirely false...
Artists just earn a ridiculous percentile of this industry's incomes...
The ones who are really making a killing are the record labels, thus they have money and power enough to be capable to purchase the North American Congress, the Spanish one, or whatever they want somehow, it doesn't care freedom...
What's next? I don't know, but knowledge should be free and universal. Imagine schools and students should pay royalties for learning more apart from books teach... Nobody must swoop on the Internet, if someone wants to lend a colleague a book, why should that person be in prison?... More culture is what we need, that really improves everything. Wanted I to learn... why should I pay to some "old entrepreneurs"?
