Well, I think that it's better if we adapt to our changing world, but nobody forces us to choose these things.
We have the option to choose, and maybe I like one and I dislike other, but always is me who decide.
Personally, I prefer the traditional Santa Claus. He has more charm and symbolizes better the true sense of Christmas time. I'm sending the link in case you want to have a look to the village of Santa Claus in Rovaniemi, Lapland. My daughter was there two years ago and sent me a Christmas card from the Santa Claus Main Post Office.
